Explosion-proof glass: High safety; Due to the tough and strong PVB interlayer, it is not easily penetrated after impact damage, and the fragments will not fall off, but are tightly bonded to the PVB film; More functions, compared with other glasses, it has the functions of shock resistance, theft prevention, bulletproof, explosion-proof, and UV protection; Stronger energy saving

Explosion-proof glass, compared with tempered glass, has the following main differences:

I. Different characteristics

1. Explosion-proof glass: High safety; due to the strong adhesion of the tough PVB interlayer, it is not easily penetrated after impact damage, and the fragments will not fall off, but are tightly bonded to the PVB film; more functions, compared with other glasses, it has the properties of earthquake resistance, theft prevention, bulletproof, explosion-proof, and UV protection; stronger energy saving

2. Tempered glass: Safety, when the glass is damaged by external force, the fragments will become small, obtuse-angled particles similar to honeycombs, which are not easy to cause serious harm to the human body; high strength, the impact resistance of tempered glass with the same thickness is 3-5 times that of ordinary glass, and the bending strength is 3-5 times that of ordinary glass; thermal stability, tempered glass has good thermal stability, and can withstand a temperature difference 3 times that of ordinary glass, and can withstand a temperature difference of 300℃.

II. Different manufacturing principles

1. Explosion-proof glass: A special type of glass made by machinery using special additives and interlayers. Even if the glass breaks, it will not easily fall off because the intermediate material (PVB film) or the other side of the explosion-proof glass has been fully bonded. Therefore, explosion-proof glass can greatly reduce the harm to personnel and valuables in the event of violent impact.

2. Tempered glass: Tempered glass is actually a kind of pre-stressed glass. In order to improve the strength of the glass, chemical or physical methods are usually used to form compressive stress on the surface of the glass. When the glass is subjected to external force, it first offsets the surface stress, thereby improving the load-bearing capacity and enhancing the glass's own resistance to wind pressure, heat and cold, and impact.

III. Different applications

1. Explosion-proof glass: Because explosion-proof glass has high impact resistance and safety in use, it is suitable for ceilings, shower rooms, floors, partitions, skylights in industrial plants, shop windows, kindergartens, schools, gymnasiums, private residences, villas, asylums, banks, and other places.

2. Tempered glass: Widely used in high-rise building doors and windows, glass curtain walls, interior partition glass, skylights, sightseeing elevator passages, furniture, glass railings, etc.
